Community service is the hallmark of every profession. Sharing your skills and giving back to the community helps improve the oral health of those who are less fortunate, which makes the Omaha area a great place to live.
Think of community service as an opportunity to work with friends and colleagues on a shared interest. Have fun and "do good," too!
You can volunteer one afternoon a year, or one day a month. Finding the place you feel good about helping is the key!
ODDS is a clearinghouse for service and government organizations that desire the participation of a DDS professional on their boards and committees;
ODDS established partnerships with several area community service organizations to provide oral health information and volunteer services.
You can also help promote oral health by staffing a booth at a community health fair such as the Omaha Children's Museum's Healthy Trick or Treat Nights and Omaha's Biggest Baby Shower and the very popular annual event KidzExplore!
Remember, as a DDS, you have highly valued skills that are of enormous benefit to others!
