Organized Dentistry Needs Your Voice, Your Action
One of the most valuable aspects of your participation in the ODDS / NDA / ADA tripartite membership is the influence you can have in the legislation that affects the profession of dentistry and small businesses.
On the Component / ODDS level, we work closely with the NDA to respond appropriately to issues that arise on a local and state level. We appreciate your participation and willingness to take a stand on behalf of your livelihood and in the interest of oral health in the greater Omaha area.
How to begin?
For starters, please let us know in which Legislative District you live and/or the Legislative District your office is located in.
If you're not sure, please refer to this image and then send us an email letting us know your district number and who your representative is. Contact us at omahadistrictds@aol.com. Please let us know if you are friends or neighbors of legislators.
We can provide you with email updates on legislation that has an immediate impact on your dental practice. Whether you follow up with a legislator or in any other way is strictly up to you.
On a national level, the ADA works to ensure that all Americans are informed about their oral health and have the opportunity to receive high-quality dental care. This is accomplished, in part, through advocacy activities.
